Choose the startup tab, uncheck questionable programs, reboot
If this fails you might want to try disabling Services.

Do NOT check 'hide all Microsoft services. Push the 'disable all' button. Reboot.
If boot error goes away, then there is a services problem.
By selectivley enabling, disabling and rebooting you can determine wich service is causing the problem.
Google the service to find out about problems and remedies.
If startup and services are not the problem you might want to attempt a system restore.
System Restores can occasionaly cause their own set of problems so first backup your data.

Run Antivirus and ccleaner. Do not allow antivirus program to remove Windows files.
